New Homebrew/Config Disc for Wii Dashboard v3.0 August 7

Along with the recent dashboard upgrade there have been a few reports of GCOS discs not booting properly in Gamecube Emulation mode. This created problems running some GC homebrew apps as well as the configuration discs for some of the modchips.

Reppa from the NintendoMax forums with the aid of Badablek from gx-mod has constructed a disc that boots reliably on Wii consoles running the newer firmware.

The disc includes the following apps:

  • The Latest Emulator versions of: NES, SNES, Gameboy, Master System, Genesis, NeogeoCD, and NeoGeo Pocket Color
  • Configuration discs for: OpenWii, WiiFree, and YAOSM
  • MediaPlayerWii (Linux MFE)
  • Apps Including: SD Loader, DVD2SD 0.1.1, and GCOS V3

The distribution does not include an ISO but the tools necessary to create your own along with the above mentioned apps that have been tested with the tools.
