Nuke from Tehskeen.com has released a Ram dumping utility for the Wii, which uses the USB Gecko to transfer the data.

Please note some ram in MEM2 is reserved for Starlett and can’t be dumped, it is 12MB size (thanks bushing for this info)

Most translating done at WiiNewz
A new version of Wii Homebrew Launcher is available. I want to thank Cladil for re-designed the interface.
The changes are as follows:
The graphics have been re-handled by Cladil
The blue light of the Wii lights itself at the time of access to the SD card
Suppresstion the string “Restart SD loader”
The font size was reduced to view the names of longer chains
Adding to display mode RGB 60Hz (beta)
Adding a configuration file to set the display settings manually
Ability to customize the interface
Creating a menu accessible by the START key enabling:
– Back to the menu Wii
– Turn off the Wii
– Restarting the loader
A small tutorial on the usage of this new version is available in the Usage section.
A demonstration is available in the Download section.
A version using the Wiimote is currently under development. However, a major bug making homebrew useless pushed me to put this version (without wiimote) online. Indeed after the initialization of the Wiimote, using Front-SD becomes unstable. A new version with support of the wiimote will be put online as soon as the problem will be resolved. I do not know any time combine long it will take me (no need, therefore let me ask).
The usage of GIF or PNG files are not foreseen for the moment (I concentrate my efforts on the wiimote).

GBAtemp member Dack has updated his Wiiscrubber program to make available smaller compression and fix some bugs.
WiiScrubber is used to shrink a Wii iso’s filesize when compressed. In this new version, ISOs can be compressed smaller. There are a few other changes, as well as some bug fixes. See the changelog below for more information.

Whats new?
1. Smaller compressed sizes possible as a bug fix was marking data that wasn’t actually used.
2. Allows for replacement of files on the ISO -i.e Right click LOAD menu works
3. Allows for replacement of files larger than the original
4. Auto Trucha signs if a file is replaced
Bug fixes:
1. Another 32/64 bit error meant that I was marking data used that wasn’t. This saves about an extra 100-200 Meg from an image.
2. Few display errors corrected
3. A 32/64 error meant some files could not be extracted correctly

The D2Pro Team has released the official 9 Wire D2Pro.
We are pleased to announce that the new 9-wire d2pro chip has now been officially released. This chip comes with an integrated SPI Flash and takes only 9 wires (including power) to install. Like it’s 15-wire predecessor, this chip is fully updateable (JTAG and SPI Flash) via the d2prog USB programmer which is available separately. Configuration options include separate drivespeed settings for DVD5/DVD9 backups and original discs, region override, and GC audiofix.

The latest version of the Nintendo DS emulator DeSmuME has been released. Version 0.8 contains many bug fixes, but new features have been added as well, including Windows joystick control and an assortment of updates to the Mac port.

LoPsT from the Spanish site, elotrolado.net, has released version 2.1 of Snes9x-gx 1.4.3. This version includes both English and Spanish versions of the emulator that supports both the Wii Remote and Classic Controller.

For those who wish to remove any WAD channels that have been installed, Waninkoko has released a WAD Uninstaller to assist. This removes every trace of your specified WAD files.

This application completely uninstalls (tickets y content) of Wii titles (ie, applications, channels, VC…) which you specify.
How to Use:
1. Create a directory in the root of your SD card and rename it “wad”.
2. Place the WAD files you wish to uninstall into the directory.
3. Run the WAD Unistaller.

Xero has taken LoPsT’s Snes9x release with Wiimote and Classic controller support and translated it to English with a hex editor.
From the release notes:
Xero (whom you’ve never heard of and probably never will again) has translated some of the unofficial version by LoPsT. Also, Xero does NOT have LoPsT’s source code. This was all (poorly) done by a hex edit.

WASABUS 1.2 FINAL RELEASE
WASABUS 1.2 final version is out… this 9 wires firmware version is tested and is working on all D2C consoles.
We are working now to do porting on ARGON and it will be available in few days, after this works we will complete the WASABUS with the support of old DMS WII support.
