teknecal has released a Wii homebrew program known as the Homebrew Browser. This allows you to install, update, or remove homebrew applications right from your Wii. All of this is done with the goal of keeping your SD card inside your Wii at all times.
From the release notes:
The Homebrew Browser allows you to grab the latest homebrew applications and games all through your Wii. No longer will you have to take your SD card out to load the files or transfer the files from your computer to the Wii or even use your computer. Once you install a homebrew application and you no longer want it on your SD card, you can delete it as simple as that!
No more dead links, no more extracting files, no more finding out if there is an icon.png and meta.xml in the homebrew application/game!
Features
One click download and install for each homebrew application
One click deletion of homebrew applications
Able to update your version of a homebrew application once an update comes out for that application
Caching of the homebrew application pictures
Auto updating when your Homebrew Browser version is out of date
Limitations
Currently this application is limited to receiving homebrew applications that only use a single file (boot.dol/elf). Homebrew applications that load other files from the SD card won’t be on the Homebrew Browser list.
Usage
Run the included ELF with your favorite method to boot homebrew. Uses the Wiimote with IR.
A SD card icon under the homebrew application image means that you have the latest version of that homebrew application installed, while a clock icon means you don’t have the latest version. You can update your installation of that homebrew application or install new homebrew applications by pressing A. You can delete homebrew applications provided that they have a SD card or clock icon by pressing B.

Reports at Wiibrew.org show that the June 16th Wii System Updates cause major problems with the Twilight Hack and with Trucha signed disks.
The June 16th, or Version 3.3 update checks for and deletes Twilight Hack and any other Twilight Princess saves exploiting the same vulnerability. However, it does not do anything to existing Homebew Channel installations. It does, however, fix the Signing bug, which prevents any “trucha”-signed discs from running, including the Homebrew Channel installer ISO versions.
This update was actually compiled on March 6th. It has probably undergone months of testing before being out, hence why it does not target any of the newer hacks.
Users are advised not to update until more information is known.
More information at hackmii.com
The update is now available in the PAL region as well

Redbird over at elotrolado.net has released another Wii NAND dumper, which dumps the contents of your Wii’s flash to your front SD card. This differs from previous NAND dumpers, as it is not decrypting the file system, only creating a 512 MB “wiiflash.img” file. This could be used along with an NAND programmer and an Infectus chip to restore your Wii to a previous state.
From the translated release notes:
You wonder why another NAND dumper was created when they already exist. These are my reasons:
1. The Waninkoko of SD does not work on the front. In addition, I was for me from about 300MB and then writes very slow, almost no progress, takes minutes to download another MB.
2. The Nuvalo of SD writes in the front, but no work for me since the Homebrew Channel doesn’t support it. In addition, makes me nervous to be counting the bytes missing, filling the entire screen …
3. I wanted to learn something simple and useful to me outside.
Why use YaWnD:
1. SD wrote in the front.
2. Use Wiimote.
3. It can be used from the Homebrew Channel (HBC) and returns to it so clean.
4. It uses the latest release of devkitPPC r15 and bookstores libOGC, which should be compatible with future updates of HBC.
5. Reports of what it does fill the screen without too.
Above all, let me take this opportunity to thank the work of developers Homebrew Channel, DevkitPPC and libOGC in which I have based, with special mention of Marcan, who occasionally goes by here and has my full respect. And, of course, not forgetting Nuvalo, which was the one who hung the source that helped me to see how to access the NAND easily.
And now the warning: the program is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty. The user uses it on his own responsibility and only for lawful purposes of obtaining a backup of the data contained in the flash of their Wii.

The homebrew developer Scognito has ported his popular DS homebrew game, Scogger, to the Wii and Gamecube. The goal of the game is to get the frog to jump over all of the tree trunks, using your Gamecube D-Pad or Wiimote.

From the release notes:
Scogger for Wii is a porting I made of the “famous” Nintendo DS and PSP game Scogger I wrote a months ago.
The game is almost identical to the original, with same levels (10 random out of 100 available, so each new game you get different levels!), except here you cannot use the stylus for obvious reasons, but it can take advantage of the wiimote! P
Download & Installing
Download the package and unpack it. It has two directories: gamecube and wii.
The Wii version is ready for use with the homebrew channel. Just put the scoggerwii-0.2 directory in the apps directory of your SD card, otherwise boot it with the Twilight Hack or other boot methods.
The Gamecube dol can be booted it using SDLoad or other boot methods.
How to Play
The goal of the game is to make the frog jump over all the tree trunks.
You can use the Gamecube pad, the Wiimote, or the Wiimote d-pad.
The only available direction the frog can move are forward, left and right (no diagonals), with no jump distance limit!
Remember that the frog cannot jump backward, and pressing B on the Wiimote (or A in the Gamecube pad) to restart the level!
Clean the stage to go to the next level (they are 10) or press (+) or START to go to the next one.
This trick is only available if you make the so called “konami trick” (you know what is that, don’t you?) at the titlescreen, (with the exception “B” and “A” button are mapped to (-) and (+) on the Wiimote).
